Dan is er nu ook een Smartbag voor jou! Geen schreeuwerige kleuren, maar ingetogen wit en dan toch met de legendarische Unikko print van Marimekko.

Je kent ze wel, van die hele kleine etuitjes waar je een tasje uit kunt toveren. Super smart om 'm 'voor vast' in je handtas te hebben - al vergeet ik ze altijd na gebruik weer terug te stoppen...

Het kleine etuitje is 14 x 11 cm en hoog amper 1 cm en hierin zit jouw handige reservetas verstopt. Als je 'm met een soepele beweging uit het etuitje haalt heb je een boodschappentas van 35 x 40 centimeter en dan heb ik nog niet eens de hengsels en de 'vouw' aan de binnenkant meegerekend.

Door die vouw kan er lekker veel in de tas. De hengsels zijn lang genoeg om het tassie over je schouder te dragen.

Wat overigens best handig is, is dat het etuitje aan de tas vast zit en in uitgevouwen staat zelfs als binnenvak kan dienen voor sleutels, telefoon op portemonnee.

De tas is gemaakt van 100% polyester en kan daarom op 30 graden worden gewassen. Niet strijken.

Ontwerpster Maija Isola zwom tegen de stroom in en ontwierp volledig tegen de wensen van oprichtster van Marimekko Armi Ratia in, tóch een bloemenpatroon. Ondertussen is de Unikko uitgegroeid tot een Fins fenomeen; zelfs vlioegtuigen van Finn Air zijn ermee beplakt! 

Unikko is dus zoveel meer dan een bloem-dessin; het staat voor de vrijheid om je eigen keuzes te maken! 

Oh ook niet onbelangrijk; het tasje weegt maar 70 gram. Daar loop je dus niet extra mee te zeulen als je 'm als extra bergruimte meeneemt tijdens een stedentrip of andere gelegenheid waarbij je 'light wenst te travelen'.

Then there is now also a Smartbag for you! No flashy colours, but subdued white and yet with the legendary Unikko print by Marimekko.

You know them, those very small pouches where you can conjure up a bag. Super smart to have it in your handbag 'for good' - although I always forget to put them back after use...

The small pouch is 14 x 11 cm and barely 1 cm high and contains your handy spare bag. If you take it out of the pouch with a smooth movement, you have a shopping bag of 35 x 40 centimeters and I haven't even counted the handles and the 'fold' on the inside.

Because of that fold, you can fit a lot in the bag. The handles are long enough to carry the bag over your shoulder.

What is also quite handy is that the pouch is attached to the bag and when unfolded it can even serve as an inner compartment for keys, phone or wallet.

The bag is made of 100% polyester and can therefore be washed at 30 degrees. Do not iron.

Designer Maija Isola swam against the current and designed a flower pattern completely against the wishes of founder of Marimekko Armi Ratia. Meanwhile, the Unikko has become a Finnish phenomenon; even Finn Air planes are plastered with it!

So Unikko is so much more than a flower design; it represents the freedom to make your own choices!

Oh also not unimportant; the bag only weighs 70 grams. So you don't have to carry it around extra if you take it with you as extra storage space during a city trip or other occasion where you want to 'travel light'.
