The Puutarhakutsut design

This design dates from 1989 and is the work of Japanese-Finnish designer Fujiwo Ishimoto. I've expanded my Finnish vocabulary with the help of Google and now know that Puutarhakutsut means "garden cutters." I think the best translation is "cut flowers." Don't you think that's the best way to describe it?

Mix with all your other Marimekko Oiva tableware

The foundation of Marimekko's Oiva tableware is always the same. The shapes and sizes are always the same. The colors and patterns always complement each other. That's why it's so wonderfully versatile. This pattern goes beautifully with many of the Tiiliskivi colors and sizes, but perhaps you'll pair it with your Räsymatto tableware featuring dots, the stripes of the Piccolo tableware, or the familiar Unikko floral print.
