You always have bowls like these in use. At our house, they (read: the husband and the teenagers) would make and/or serve microwave popcorn in them. I'd serve a salad in them, sometimes use them as a serving dish for fries or another side dish. They're perfect for reheating leftovers in the microwave, using them for mashed potatoes with a side dish, or an oven gratin—all of which is also possible with the stoneware from Marimekko's Oiva tableware collection.
