Marimekko Puutarhakutsut bowl 2.5 dl

This cozy bowl size pops up every now and then when a new Marimekko collection is released. It's coming in the spring of 2025, for example. I love the size because it's so nice and small compared to the 500ml bowl. That way, you eat fewer nuts, yogurt, or sweets. After all, you can always grab another one if needed. The bowl is made of stoneware, which means it's much sturdier than earthenware and therefore doesn't chip. It's also dishwasher, microwave, oven, and freezer safe.

The Puutarhakutsut design

This design dates from 1989 and is the work of Japanese-Finnish designer Fujiwo Ishimoto. I've expanded my Finnish vocabulary with the help of Google and now know that Puutarhakutsut means "garden cutters." I think the best translation is "cut flowers." Don't you think that's the best way to describe it?

Mix with all your other Marimekko Oiva tableware

The foundation of Marimekko's Oiva tableware is always the same. The shapes and sizes are always the same. The colors and patterns always complement each other. That's why it's so wonderfully versatile. This pattern goes beautifully with many of the Tiiliskivi colors and sizes, but perhaps you'll pair it with your Räsymatto tableware featuring dots, the stripes of the Piccolo tableware, or the familiar Unikko floral print. Anything goes, of course!
