About the color

Take a closer look: unlike the tableware and, for example, the oven mitts and potholders, this tea towel isn't black on stark white. The base is a fabric composed of linen, cotton, and recycled cotton. This fabric is unbleached, so it's a kind of light gray. Of course, the tea towel is of the superior quality you expect from Marimekko!

New tea towel? Here's how to make sure it dries properly:

Soak overnight in cold water with a splash of natural vinegar (not cleaning vinegar). This will help the towel absorb moisture better and also set the colors. Then wash the tea towel according to the care label and, if possible, line dry.
