I'm crazy about the combination of pink and green, and I love the V&A Collection by Ihr, because I absolutely adore this London museum and its vast collection of Arts and Crafts items. These Swirling Trees are set in a fairytale-like landscape. Set your table with this beautiful print; you really don't need much else! I'd love to wallpaper an entire wall with it! Or even have a tablecloth made from it!

A little more about this design

This brightly colored printed cotton upholstery fabric with a swirling tree design was made in 1902 by F. Steiner & Co. It is typical of the exotically colored, dynamic Art Nouveau textiles popular on the continent at the time. Frederick Steiner was a chemist who came to Britain in the early 19th century and established his high-quality printing business in Lancashire. The company sourced textile designs from leading British freelance designers and from France and Belgium, where the fashion for Art Nouveau patterns was stronger than in Britain. Therefore, the originator of this design unfortunately remains unclear.
