Are you, like me, a fan of DIY Christmas decorations? This round Advent candle holder is a fantastic base for a homemade Advent wreath for your table or, for example, your kitchen island (if it's neater than mine :-). Beautiful, sturdy, tall candle holders on a raised metal ring. The sturdy base is really nice, thanks to a ring along the bottom.

Do you know the principle of the Advent candlestick?

In Scandinavia and German-speaking areas, an Advent candlestick or an Advent wreath with candles (for example, also hanging horizontally from pretty ribbons) is a more common concept. It begins on the first Sunday of December, which this year is December 1st. Then you light the first candle, and each Sunday you light a new candle. This is how you slowly count down to Christmas.

Let your creativity run wild

Hang it up!

This candlestick is nice and sturdy. I've often tried to hang homemade straw wreaths with skewers and candle holders horizontally from a few ribbons. Sometimes it works, but more often it's a disaster :-) This candlestick hangs very well too. If you actually want to light the candles, choose a spot with little air movement.

You can, of course, buy these three wreaths together, but I can also imagine one being enough. That's why I'm offering them both as a set and individually. The smallest one is 25 cm in diameter (and that includes the cups). This middle one is 30 cm, and the largest is 35 cm in diameter. They are all the same height, 8 cm.

Styling tips

Go for green... a roll of that handy flower-tying wire and a few branches of ivy, laurel, spruce, pine, or conifer. Add a few snowberries or holly with red berries, and you're ready to tie! Or are you going for color? Check your thrift store for "yucky Christmas ornaments"—you know, all those ugly colors bunched together. The trick is to combine them in abundance. Create bunches with zip ties and then tie them to the metal ring.
