Judging by the picture, you'd swear these were perfectly sewn napkins with a wide border around the edge, a solid ribbon, and then a slightly different striped fabric in the center. I was genuinely surprised to see that these were true block prints! Except for the neat hem, there's no sewing on these napkins. Block printing is purely handmade

Bungalow's napkins, just like their tablecloths, are hand-block printed. They use stamps, which are also handcrafted from large pieces of wood. Each 15 x 15 cm piece is stamped as many times as there are colors visible on the napkin, so just count how many times you stamp for four napkins :-) Because it's handmade, each napkin is slightly different. The paint may be applied a little thickly here and there, and sometimes you'll see a drop or a little paint outside the lines. This is part of the charm of Bungalow's hand-printed fabrics.
