Marimekko Ketunmarja bowl with fox and pink accents | 2.5 dl

Small bowl with Ketunmarja pattern

Please note: this item is available in limited quantities and has already sold out in Finland. If you like it, grab it now ;-)

This Oiva bowl features my favorite Marimekko animal, the little Ketunmarja fox. The bowl is a bit too small for soup, but perfect for a snack, crackers, a small portion of yogurt...

Super practical tableware

Sami Ruotsalainen laid the foundation for the Oiva tableware by Marimekko. When designing it, he didn't just consider aesthetics; ease of use, such as stackability and the fact that it had to be suitable for daily use, also played a major role.

About the Ketunmarja pattern

This design is by Aino-Maija Metsola. She creates many designs for Marimekko, often featuring animals. There has already been a lynx, a hare, and this fox appeared previously in the Marimekko autumn and Christmas collection. So, here it is on this bowl. It existed before, but then in more brown and red tones. Now, some lovely Hubba Bubba pink has been added. The pattern tells the story of berries, a bird, and a fox... Well, you can decide for yourself how that ends!

Stoneware, nice and sturdy

The entire Oiva tableware collection is made of stoneware, a sturdier material than earthenware. Great for daily use: it is dishwasher, microwave, oven, and freezer safe. Just make sure not to put the tableware directly from the freezer into a hot oven, as the material cannot withstand that.
