We have one of these umbrellas at home; it always comes with us on city trips and travels. It's not a burden to carry but keeps you dry if you're caught in a shower. Fits in your bag and suitcase. Plus, it's 'manual,' the big advantage being that there's less that can break. I think I've had mine for about 5 years; most umbrellas in our house don't last that long ;-)

I hadn't been buying these nice umbrellas for a while; I think they were out of stock for some time, but I missed them in the store. And now they're back, and in such a lovely color scheme too.
