It is the most famous design from the Finnish brand Marimekko, the Unikko, especially in this red version. There are very many mugs and small cups of this, but there wasn't an espresso set yet. And now there is, isn't that nice?!

The small dish has a subtle indentation that the cup fits into nicely. And no, the cup is not in the center. The advantage is that this creates extra space for a cookie or a chocolate next to the espresso. I like that about Marimekko's designs; those Finns really do think of everything! Another thing: this set is packaged in a very beautiful white gift box with the black Marimekko logo.

The Oiva dinnerware floats above the table.

Just like all other pieces of the Oiva dinnerware, this saucer also stands on its own two feet. Unmistakably part of the Oiva dinnerware, it appears to float slightly above the table. The cup features a strip of the Unikko print. The saucer is white. The set is dishwasher, microwave, and even freezer safe.
