Napkins with a romantic print in Toile de Jouy style with a cute striped border. Since I visited the Hameau van Marie Antoinette in Versailles, I'm even more of a fan of Toile de Jouy prints. You know, those nice cozy romantic scenes of a cowherd, a flute player and a man with a wheelbarrow surrounded by flowers, trees and decorative branches. The glorification of rural life, yes yes...

Fabric napkins

I specially sourced these cotton napkins with a Toile de Jouy design for people who are looking for fabric napkins. These cotton pieces are nice and large (45 x 45 cm) and moreover beautifully finished. Nice romi, a fliereflute player who is trying to seduce a cow- and ship-herd. Surrounded by flying turtledoves and a leafy canopy... And thus reusable again and again. Just in the wash. Ironing board over it when you have ironed your blouses and back in the closet.

Napkin ring to the rescue

No desire to wash your napkins every time after eating? Makes sense! Did you know that the napkin ring was originally designed for that? Everyone had their own napkin ring - often a silver one with the name engraved in it. This way everyone could use the same napkin a few times. And that can still be done, of course!

• Very dirty? No stress, spray with Shout and after eating just in the wash (30 degrees, short program and with delicate detergent)
• A few tips for the first use. 
  For the first wash, let soak overnight in as large a tub as possible with plenty of cold water and white natural vinegar (no cleaning vinegar!) Let soak. Ratio: 1 vinegar to 10 water. Then wash at maximum 30 degrees, short program, with liquid color detergent.
• Do not leave in the full sun, then it may discolor
• Keep in mind that these napkins may shrink slightly when washed.
