Why is it so difficult, if not impossible, to find an identical tea towel and hand towel at Marimekko? That is because we deviate from the norm in the Netherlands. The rest of the world (okay, perhaps with a few exceptions) simply dries their hands in the kitchen with a tea towel. They likely hang two tea towels: one for the dishes and one for the hands, but a nice fluffy hand towel like we want... they’ve never heard of such a thing.

Now, as a Dutch entrepreneur and Marimekko seller, I am always on the lookout for this. And I have found a pretty nice combo, if I do say so myself. This red and pink Unikko towel is 30 x 50 cm. The Marimekko tea towels are (approximately) 47 x 70 cm. So not the same size, but a fantastic match in terms of look. We also have this red Unikko print available in a larger size, 50 x 70.
