You could make a tablecloth out of them yourself. But are you not at all handy with a sewing machine? Then I will take care of it. What to do if you spill?

She tipped me off about Shout! Just keep a can of Shout nearby and as soon as someone spills gravy or red wine, give it a quick spray. (If you have a table that won't appreciate that, place something between the cloth and the table before you start 'Shouting'). After dinner, you just put the cloth in the wash, and when it's done, you put it back on the table while it's still wet (saves a lot of ironing). Or you hang it wet on the clothesline and iron the tablecloth while it is still damp.
