A garden on your table!

I have never been there myself, but I imagine Monet's gardens in Giverny look just like this if you squint your eyes. This tablecloth is like an impressionist painting, with green and red taking center stage, and lilac and white as accent colors.

French flair

A French family in the Pyrenees. Decades ago, father Bruno Lamy visited Rajasthan and fell in love with the beautiful block-print fabrics made there. Inspired by the block-printing technique and the character of the hand-printed fabrics, he returned to France and started experimenting himself. He drew his inspiration from the colorful, floral nature of the South of France. And behold, some 40 years later, this Jardin on your table.

Block prints from India

Couleur Nature still designs the patterns in the South of France. The tablecloths are then printed in Jaipur (by the same families for many years). The blocks used for this are carved by hand from wood. Depending on the size of the designs and the various colors in the pattern, a huge number of stamps are applied per tablecloth. You can imagine that for a pattern with as many colors as you see here, it takes a great deal of knowledge, skill, and experience to deliver such a beautiful product!

Rectangular and square only

This tablecloth comes in many sizes. I do not have them all in stock yet, but I can have them brought over from France in no time. The tablecloth is not available in round. At Couleur Nature, they believe that their designs look beautiful even on a round or oval table. I have to say that I agree with them. The borders along these tablecloths are part of their character, and they look truly beautiful on round and oval shapes as well!

And runners & placemats

Not just tablecloths, but runners and placemats too (tea towels and aprons might come later or upon special request). This beautiful design is also available as a runner or a set of placemats. All equally stunning, with the same block print. The table runner is 45 x 180 cm, and the placemats are 37 x 47 cm and are sold in pairs.

Washing and maintenance instructions for Couleur Nature block-print tablecloths

• Machine wash at a maximum of 30°C or 40°C using a delicate cycle to preserve the colors.
• Do not use bleach or optical brighteners.
• Avoid fabric softeners, as these can make the colors dull over time.
• Iron on the reverse side at a moderate temperature (cotton/wool setting) to maintain the vibrancy of the print.
• If possible, let air dry in the shade.
• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, as the colors may fade.
