For everyone who loves Italy, and more specifically Sicily, there's now the Zagara tablecloth. Featuring, of course, lemons and teste di moro. A lady's and a man's head. Mouth-watering tablecloths

The tablecloths from the Italian brand Tessitura Toscana Telerie are truly a feast for the eyes. Besides the irresistible prints, the fabric is of excellent quality, and the tablecloths are finished with care and craftsmanship. A rainbow of colors

Okay, you do have to love color. Just look at all the edges of this tablecloth and you'll see the entire Pantone palette of summer hues passing by: bright yellows and reds, blues, greens, pinks, oranges. I see lemons, lemon blossoms and leaves, and of course, those two fantastic heads. In the middle, it's a bit more tranquil, a light blue trellis with a few lemons and lemon blossoms scattered here and there.

Teste di moro?

Moorish heads... a very old Sicilian story... Legend has it that a young woman in Palermo tended the plants on her balcony every day. One day, a Moorish youth passed by, enchanted by her beauty, and declared his love for her. His love was mutual, but he had to return to his homeland where his wife and children were waiting for him. Plot twist: the young woman murdered him in his sleep. And, macabrely, she used his head as a flowerpot so he would always be with her. The basil she planted in his head thrived so well that the rest of Palermo wanted one too. So, they started making them out of ceramic ;-)
