Gold-colored candlestick with flowers, 27 cm high

I always imagine myself living on a Hungarian Puszta in my previous life, herding goats in an embroidered dress. And then, in the evenings, I'd sit by candlelight, embroidering more flowers on my skirt, and when the summer light lasted longer, I'd jigsaw coat hooks and cut out tin flowers to make candlesticks, which my husband would then solder together for me...

Because besides sleek and design-led, I also love folkloric flowers, mirrors, and beads. It has to come from somewhere!

The flowers are made of thinly cut sheet metal with a soldered-on stamp here and there – really nice little details. The candlestick is then finished with gold paint. This isn't applied evenly, giving the candlestick a bit of a vintage look. It's like I found it in my Hungarian grandmother's attic, so to speak. :-)

This candlestick is 27 centimeters tall and fits standard household candles.
