About the Räsymatto design

In addition to the most famous design by the Finnish brand Marimekko, Unikko, Kleuroptafel also carries the Räsymatto collection in its permanent range. In 2026 and 2027, Marimekko is offering its retailers the exclusive opportunity to offer this colored Räsymatto version. So, you can only get it through independent Marimekko sellers and not via The Mothership ;-)

Not beads, but a rag rug!

I first thought these black dots were beads on a string. But it's something entirely different. In Scandinavia, rag rugs are very popular, especially in summer cottages. The Räsymatto motif is part of the Siirtolapuutarha series, where city and nature meet. These holiday homes with rag rugs are a wonderful example of that. And take another good look at the pattern... it is a stylized representation of a rag rug; the 'beads' are the strips of fabric bulging between the weave threads.
