We already have a variety of characters around here: the very slow miniature wirehaired dachshund, which we call the treckel at home because it always has to be pulled along by its owners. Beau the turbo dachshund; according to her owners, she was a real dachshund, but I suspect she's a Labrador-dachshund cross. Gustave the Elder, even younger than our almost 5-year-old vizsla, but with the spirit of an elderly grandfather.
