The Potter series of Egg cups and saucers features a reactive glaze. This means two colors of glaze are used. During firing, these glazes each react slightly differently at different temperatures (and humidity levels, etc.). Sometimes this creates speckles, other times drips, or a beautiful blend of colors. The cups and saucers are all dipped in the glaze by hand, making each piece unique.

Buttercup is yellow with a hint of gray and almost white. It's a lovely soft color, but not too sweet.

The Loveramics Egg cups and saucers are made of porcelain. An advantage of porcelain over earthenware is that it chips much less easily.
