Oh, these squirrels are so cute! Look at their pink bellies and the tufts on their ears. I actually wanted to buy the acrylic-coated tablecloth fabric, but the print, just like on the tea towels and tableware, was only brown with black, beige, and red. This unbleached cotton-linen blend has the same print as the cushion covers, with salmon-colored bellies and petrol-green leaves. This makes the fabric much warmer and more vibrant. And... you can also just make a tablecloth out of it if you like! Or placemats, or a dress, or curtains...

Fall? Animals at Marimekko!

Traditionally, Marimekko's autumn collection features an animal print, at least as long as I've been selling Marimekko. These squirrels are by the same woman who also designed the Ketunmarja foxes: Aino Maija Metsola. The squirrel is, of course, a typical autumn animal, but with their cheerful, red, apple-cheeked faces, you can definitely still make something fun with them for Christmas!

Sustainable choice

Marimekko makes things that last forever, and their fabrics are known for this. But they're also increasingly using recycled materials in their fabric production. This unbleached cotton-linen fabric is made from 46% recycled cotton, 33% cotton, and 21% recycled linen.

You order the fabric in units of 50 centimeters. If you want 1.5 meters, you'll order 3 units. Because I cut the fabric to size for you, it cannot be exchanged.
