Brick, the rest is history. You're a whiner, but... brick is a boss, home baker is a boss. Does this ring a bell? It's the text of Watskeburt by De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig. In 1952, Armi Ratia made history when she created this design for Marimekko. She wanted to show that beauty can also be found in the simple things around us. The rest is history! More than 70 years later, this pattern is still popular. This green plate also features the brick design. And yes, you can even feel the joints, but unlike bare brickwork, they're wonderfully smooth.
