By popular request, I've kept as many pieces of Marimekko's white Oiva tableware in stock as possible. This 2.5-deciliter mug is a must-have. It could be a replacement for a broken Oiva mug that's no longer available, for example. Or simply because you're looking for a beautifully designed, stackable mug that's microwave-safe, oven-safe, dishwasher-safe, and even freezer-safe!

Sami Ruotsalainen laid the foundation for Marimekko's Oiva tableware. He considered not only aesthetics in the design, but also ease of use, such as stackability, and the need for everyday use. Moreover, from the outset, Ruotsalainen focused on the versatility of the tableware. Therefore, there are fixed shapes for the various pieces that recur repeatedly—just with different colors and motifs. These shapes can then be complemented by the base, the white Oiva tableware.

Only white Oiva tableware

Many Marimekko fans love combining all the prints and designs. I can also imagine that some people prefer sleek and simple white tableware. That was also one of the reasons I started selling Marimekko as a brand: beautiful white tableware. The Oiva tableware is beautiful in its simplicity. I also find its shape very appealing, for example, when I compare it to my German Dibbern bone china. It's wonderfully smooth and round, even compared to the Teema tableware from Iittala.
