In the summer of 2025, the updated Tiara pattern will be released as part of Marimekko's home collection. And pastel yellow is popping up everywhere! Is it a coincidence? I don't know. Perhaps after the 90s yellow phase (I lived in a house that was banana ice cream yellow from top to bottom, so I should know), it was time for a new hello yellow era!

Polished and completely up-to-date again

The Tiara design dates back to 2014 and was created by Erja Hirvi. For this 2025 collection, the colors have been refreshed and the pattern slightly adjusted. The beauty of this design is that it's always shaped to the item. The print on the tablecloth is all-over, so it doesn't matter whether you're looking from the left, right, front, or back: it's always perfect. For the plates and mugs, for example, the pattern is beautifully tailored to the size and shape. For these sturdy canvas placemats, the pattern is slightly enlarged.
