A robin looks absolutely adorable, of course, often a bit flustered and huddled into a cute little gray with red blob. But did you know that robins are incredibly territorial? They'll fight anyone! Robins are also sometimes said to be a messenger of good luck and a sign that a deceased person is watching over us. I didn't make that up myself! Just Google it :-)

Wildlife Garden's wooden items are made in China by true craftsmen. This kitchen roll holder is no exception. It's flat-packed and easy to assemble. There are two "sticks." I thought I needed the long stick for a standard supermarket paper towel, but it fits the short stick. Place the bird on top and secure it with the wooden pin. Under the round disc where the paper towel rests are three anti-slip caps. This ensures the holder stays dry. It'll last even longer!

Designed in Sweden, hand carved in China

In Manchuria, winters are cold and dark. The farmers immersed themselves in woodcarving indoors during the winters. This allowed them to earn some extra income by making spoons, plates, and so on. This craft is still very much alive. In Sweden, the designs are made; in China, they are proudly carved from limewood and painted with environmentally friendly paint.
